
Conference City Brand: Communication, Marketing and Innovation in Urban Development
A reflection on the construction of city brands and territory brands, and the strategic role of marketing and communication in regional development

On 14 May, Universidade Lusófona – Porto University Centre will host the 11th edition of ULP Marketing Day, an event that this year will focus on the theme "City Brand: How Communication, Marketing and Innovation Drive Urban Development".
The event, organised by students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Communication, will feature a panel of specialists in the fields of marketing, communication, and development, who will share their perspectives on how city and territorial brands are built, and the fundamental role that marketing and communication play in the economic growth of regions.
Confirmed speakers include Aurora Pedro Pinto (Administrator of Livraria Lello), Carolina Lapa (Communications Director at Teatro Nacional São João), Rubens de Carvalho (Director of the Porto Merchants' Association), Luís Pedro Martins (Porto and Northern Portugal Tourism Board), and Jorge Sobrado (Vice-President of CCDR Norte).
The event will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 in the Salão Nobre at Universidade Lusófona – Porto University Centre (Rua Augusto Rosa, no. 24). Admission is free and the event is open to the entire academic community of Universidade Lusófona.
