The Faculty of Law of Lusófona University continues to promote the Conference dedicated to “40 Years of VAT in Portugal”, a moment of particular academic and institutional significance marking four decades of one of the cornerstones of the Portuguese tax system.
It is with great honour that we announce the confirmed participation of Her Excellency, the Secretary of State for Fiscal Affairs, Dr. Cláudia Reis, whose presence greatly enhances this initiative and underlines the importance of the debate on the evolution and future challenges of VAT.
Throughout the session, the impact of VAT from its introduction to the present day will be analysed, addressing its evolution, challenges, and transformations over time. This open class is intended for students, professionals in the taxation and accounting sectors, and all those interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the significance and development of this tax within the Portuguese legal and economic context.
