Meeting II Participatory and Intercultural Meetings | 7th Session

Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre is promoting the second edition of the Participatory and Intercultural Meetings: Celebrating Diversity, Strengthening Communities, an initiative aimed at the institution's hygiene and cleaning staff, organised by Professor Hélia Bracons (Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre), in partnership with the Cleaning Staff Supervisor, Dr Isabel Diogo, and the Team Leaders.

This programme reinforces the University's commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, interculturality and social justice, recognising the essential contribution of cleaning staff to the functioning of the institution and to the well-being of the entire academic community.

Throughout the academic year, monthly meetings will be held, based on active participation, dialogue and the sharing of experiences, addressing topics defined jointly with the participants according to their interests and needs. In addition to moments of reflection, the programme will include intercultural social activities, collaborative activities and initiatives aimed at personal and professional development, fostering stronger human relationships and recognising the cultural diversity present within the University.

Planned activities include the Intercultural Sharing Gathering, the Intercultural Secret Friend initiative during the Christmas season, and the Final Intercultural Sharing and Learning Meeting, which will provide an opportunity to celebrate the journey undertaken, share experiences and reinforce the institution's commitment to an increasingly inclusive, participatory and human-centred university.

The II Participatory and Intercultural Meetings provide a valuable space for people, cultures and experiences to come together, promoting recognition, participation and a sense of belonging, and contributing to the creation of a more cohesive, supportive and intercultural academic community.

Objective: To strengthen the sense of community and intercultural sharing in a festive setting.
