Contest Paper for Food
A campaign that turns waste into solidarity, combining sustainability with support for those most in need.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Lusófona University joins the “Paper for Food” Campaign, an initiative promoted by the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger, which unites solidarity and environmental responsibility.
This action aims to collect paper for recycling, the sale of which to certified waste operators is converted into basic food products that are later distributed to those in need.
The campaign “I give my paper because I want to have a role” fits into a broader effort to raise awareness of each person’s role in society, reinforcing the importance of recovering and reusing materials that might otherwise seem worthless.
Lusófona University invites everyone to share and support this initiative. Collection boxes have been placed in several areas of the University, including various departments, where all shredded or recyclable paper should be deposited.
We count on everyone’s contribution and participation in this cause that turns waste into food and solidarity into action.
The collection will take place until 20 December (Delivery at the SATA ECEO Office – School of Economic and Organisational Sciences: C.0.12).
