- ROWING4FUN ASD (Italy);
- Veslaški Klub Piran (Slovenia)
Meeting Objectives
This meeting will mark the official launch of the project’s collaborative activities, providing a strategic space to:
- Present and align the overall objectives of ROWACT and its contribution to active ageing, social inclusion and health promotion;
- Define the role of each partner institution and the distribution of responsibilities across the three Work Packages (Coordination; Implementation and Monitoring; Communication and Dissemination);
- Discuss evidence-based methodologies for indoor and outdoor rowing sessions, postural gymnastics and injury prevention;
- Share best practices in education, health and inclusion through rowing, particularly aimed at women aged 50 and over.
About the ROWACT Project
ROWACT is primarily aimed at women aged over 50, addressing social isolation, physical inactivity and the risks associated with falls and injuries. By combining rowing, specialised training for coaches, digital tools and community celebration events, the project seeks to improve physical and mental health, strengthen social ties and promote active and healthy ageing.
This meeting represents a key step in strengthening European cooperation through sport, integrating the practical experience of sports clubs with the scientific validation of academia, and creating a sustainable and replicable model for other organisations across Europe.
