On 16 May, another edition of the LES Digital Breakfast will take place, this time exploring the provocative theme “The Future of Payments: Cards, Phones or Telepathy?”
This online-only event is organised by the Lusófona Executive School, in collaboration with ULusófona – Lisbon University Centre (CUL) and ULusófona – Porto University Centre (CUP), with the support of the academic units ECEO, ECATI and FCESE.
This webinar will feature guest speaker Tiago Oom, current Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Unicre, who will share his strategic vision on the future of payments. He will explore major sector trends, the impact of fintech and big tech, and the path towards an increasingly fast, seamless and intelligent payment experience.
Throughout his career, Tiago Oom has held leadership roles in institutions such as Deutsche Bank, GE Money and TottaImo, and is now regarded as a leading figure in commercial management and payment systems in Portugal. With an academic background that includes the Universidade Católica and the prestigious Kellogg School of Management (USA), he brings a well-informed and thought-provoking perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the new digital age.
The session will be streamed via Zoom, with free registration required, and will include a Q&A segment to encourage the exchange of ideas and the engagement of both academic and professional communities in a dialogue on innovation, technology, and the future of finance.
