Class Script and narrative II

Argumento e Narrativa II continues the cycle of studies started in the previous semester. Practical workshops and case-studies on adaptation, research, and genre-specific writing will help students appreciate the collaborative nature of storytelling, while sessions on AI and collaborative scriptwriting introduce modern tools and workflows. By writing and revising their own scripts, students will develop an understanding of how narrative choices impact performance, empowering them to become more versatile actors.

Film analysis of adapted theatre plays to cinema: Tennessee Wiliams and other authors Expanding storytelling through creating a transmedia narrative/universe. Exploring the different ways a story can be told on different platforms and using different formats.   Adapting source material (books, plays, real-life events) into screenplays. Discuss the challenges of staying faithful to the source while making it cinematic. Tackling the issue of representation in historical and contemporary film.  A postcolonial critique of stereotype roles in cinema and the social dynamic they influence. Case studies of false representation in acclaimed films and applying methods to detect and avoid it. Learn how to effectively pitch a script to producers, directors, or actors. 

Use of active methodologies, in addition to the use of technological supports that allow the expansion and consolidation of learning processes.
