Objectives
Objectives
This course aims to systematize the problems raised by writing, discourse, and texts in their communicative function, and to clarify the different devices and instruments, their effects on humans, and their modes of reception. It questions the culture of Text and Discourse, not only that which produces texts and differente discourses but also that which is (re)constituted by them. By the end of this course, students should be able to: O1. Understand the problems raised by writing, texts, and discourse in their communicative function; O2. Understand the phenomena of the cultural specificity of Western discursive practices and the formation of key figures in determining the textual field: author, critic, interpreter, reader; O3. Produce an analytical discourse on the media; O4. Reflect critically on contemporary media.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Active teaching-learning methodologies focused on the student will be applied, with particular emphasis on: * Project-Based Learning (ProjectBL): Students, organized into working groups, develop a practical project throughout the semester involving the applied analysis of contemporary media discourses (Press, Radio, Advertising). The project promotes autonomy, collaborative work, and the resolution of real-world analytical problems based on the program content. * Research-Based Learning (RBL): The theoretical and methodological framework of the project is based on guided autonomous scientific research. Students will be encouraged to research, select, and critically analyze reference scientific articles, building their own knowledge path. * Flipped Classroom: Use of pre-existing digital resources for the appropriation of fundamental theoretical concepts, freeing up classroom time for critical discussion.

Assessment
Assessment
- Defesa Oral Individual do Projeto - 30%
