This course focuses on monitoring the development of skills in filmmaking, emphasizing the development of short fiction film projects. Led by different instructors, it promotes an integrated and critical approach to the creative, technical, and conceptual processes inherent in filmmaking. The aim is for students to consolidate, develop, and refine their formal and meaningful resources, exploring strategies in staging, directing actors, narrative construction, and audiovisual language. The course encourages the application of aesthetic and historical contexts, as well as the establishment of consistent relationships between theoretical reflection and artistic practice, materialized in the conception and realization of short films.

Objectives
Objectives
Monitoring the preparation and filming of short films, articulating the fundamental dimensions of the filmmaking process: Creative and dramaturgical development in line with the Creative and Cinematographic Component, guided by Jorge Paixão da Costa and Gonçalo Galvao Teles, through filming supervision, focusing on time management, solving unforeseen problems, maintaining narrative coherence, and communication between the director, production team, and other technical teams.

This course unit is characterized by the adoption of an active methodology, centered on the student and oriented towards progressive autonomy in the process of carrying out the projects in production, observing the individual areas of interest of the students, promoting the definition and adaptation of their work objectives, under the guidance and continuous monitoring of the teachers assigned to the discipline.
