Class Advanced Workshop in Sound Design

Prepare all aspects related to the original sound and music of the final project of the course, the short film. Monitor the pre-production, production and finalization of the students' films on a tutoring basis.

Audio pre-production: notions and practices. Positions in sound teams: distribution of tasks and skills. Sound workflow - tasks to be carried out in the pre-production, production and post-production phases. Microphones: directionality and feeding pattern - Dynamic and Condenser, Omnidirectional, Cardioids and Super-Cardioids. Advanced skills in Pro Tools. Sound to image editing; OMF and AAF as a transfer format between editing software. Sync, Foley and ADR. Fundamental studio operations: recording; mixing and finishing the films. Construction of sound narratives for films: a practical approach

Continuous practice exercises and analysis of them, in a "learning by doing" philosophy.
