The institutional system of the European Union. Characteristics The European Council and the Council of Ministers. Characterization, composition, functioning and attributions and competences. The European Commission and the vicissitudes of the institution. Composition and operation. The powers of initiative, guardian of the Treaties and international decision and enforcement. The European Parliament, characterization, composition, internal rules and duties and powers. The Court of Justice. The CFSP – Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union.

Presentation of the material and contextualization of concepts and problems by the Teacher, accompanied by the analysis and discussion of specific texts, as well as the presentation and discussion of works by the Students, who will be guided to the elaboration of a written and oral report in relation to the topics they compose the Program, in particular the most relevant topics, as well as a knowledge assessment test. Continuous assessment (participation of students in classes and quality of interventions) of knowledge is done on an individual basis, expressed in the classification of 0 to 20 values, with the work being worth 50% and the test the remaining 50% of the final classification. It is considered successful to obtain a classification equal to or higher than 10 values.
