The Internship option fulfills the essential objective of providing students with an opportunity for professional and scientific integration, which allows them to apply the knowledge, methodologies and techniques acquired during the course. For these reasons, only a student who has at least 130 ECTS completed can enter the curricular internship.

The curricular internship involves a minimum of 240 hours of professional practice in a national or foreign organisation whose activity is in communication and journalism. The Scientific Internship consists in carrying out a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months of R&D (research) activity in a company, research institute or national or foreign higher education institution.

This course aims to provide students with an opportunity for professional and scientific integration, enabling them to apply the knowledge, methodologies and techniques acquired during the course. The curricular internship can be professional or scientific. Professional internships require a minimum of 240 hours. The Scientific Internship involves a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months of R&D (research) activity in a company, research institute or national or foreign higher education institution whose activity is in the scientific areas of the respective cycle of studies.

Teaching methodologies
In addition to practicing in a professional environment, there is also the possibility of Project-Based Learning, which involves developing a specific work project to propose to the organization receiving the student. In this way, the student is able to propose a specific project to the internship site that will, for example, meet a need or need of the organization in a particular practical area.
