Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The teaching methodology includes the expository method (ME1) to present the fundamental contents, the demonstrative method (ME2) to illustrate the application of concepts through practical examples, and the active method (ME3), focused on problem-solving and student participation in the construction of knowledge. The assessment of knowledge consists of two components: theoretical and practical. The practical component will be assessed through the completion of three in-class group assignments (20%) and the development and presentation of a project (15%), in which students are required to formulate a real-life problem and propose a solution using Markov Chains. The theoretical component will be assessed through continuous assessment, consisting of two written tests, the first weighted at 25% and the second at 35%. Active participation and engagement in class will account for 5% of the final grade.
