Objectives
Objectives
The objectives of the course are: 1) Provide an overview of financial markets 2) Understand the importance of Money, as well as Money Demand, Money Supply and Monetary Policy in the Economy 3) Analyze the debt market, the equity market, derivatives and the foreign exchange market 4) Understand the bases of the Economics of Financial Intermediation, and specifically the role of Banks in financial innovation, financial crises and regulation of the financial system 5) Understand the recent evolution of these topics.
