Presentation
Its objectives are to equip students with skills related to communicating topics in the fields of engineering, the environment and environmental sciences. Students should be able to communicate technical information using language adapted to different types of contexts (technical, social, institutional and the general public). It is an area that aims to transfer information about environmental phenomena, processes and policies to different audiences (e.g. citizens, policy makers, local communities, public and private organisations, and specialised or generalist media). The aim is to provide skills as it is a growing scientific and professional area at the intersection of environmental sciences, social sciences and the media. It involves the dissemination of information about the environment, understanding social perceptions, public participation in environmental decision-making, and the use of effective communication strategies and tools.

Objectives
Critically analyze the main theories of communication. Define and implement communication and digital marketing strategies. Plan and design environmental content for digital platforms. Acquire the ability to adapt content to different target audiences. Search, select, organize, analyze and publicize environmental information. Acquire skills in the relationship between communication, media and the environmental issue from interdisciplinary perspectives.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Different theoretical sessions illustrating all the fundamental principles of Environmental Communication, accompanied by theoretical-practical sessions where students apply the knowledge acquired. The T component is based on the expository method using audiovisuals, the interactive method, and research work. The TP component comprises various practical assignments and participation in technical visits/awareness-raising activities illustrating the subjects taught, as well as seminars/workshops that may include lectures by national and international guest speakers. Final grade: weighted average of the T (40%) and TP (60%) assessments. The T component: two tests (average not < 10 points). The TP component: two assignments on a topic of your choice, within the area of knowledge of the CU, presented orally. In each test or exam, the student may be called for an oral test, in any circumstance and without restrictions, to confirm the grade with the professor.
