In this Curricular Unit (UC) is firstly presented the scope of activity of a graduate in Engineering and industrial management and respective applications. The main scietific area of the UC is managegement aressing the basic concepts as management functions , Planning, Organization , Direction and Control among other subjects .Essential knowledge for any graduate in Engineering and Industrial management about concepts of management and their application are transmitted to the student ..Students will be challenged to work in teams and develop work that demonstrates a connection to the academic community, in which they will have to identify problems, analyze and propose and implement solutions. Additionally, basic knowledge of scientific methodoloy will be present students in order to improve of quality of academic works.

Objectives
Students should acquire knowledge of the fundamental concepts of management and develop the skills to collaborate effectively as part of a team, apply the knowledge they have acquired to analyze and solve problems in real-world contexts, which fosters critical thinking. In addition, the course aims to develop technical, cross-disciplinary, and interpersonal skills in an integrated manner.
