Class Introduction to Engineering and Industrial Management

In this Curricular Unit (UC) is firstly presented the scope of activity of a graduate in Engineering and industrial management and respective applications.

The main scietific area of the UC is managegement aressing the basic concepts as management functions , Planning, Organization , Direction and Control among other subjects .Essential knowledge for any graduate in Engineering and most particullarly in Engineering and Industrial management  about  concepts of management and their application are transmitted to the student . Resolution of study cases are extensively used during the course. Additionally, basic knowledge of scientific methodoloy will be present students  in order to improve of quality of academic works.

At classes, students are motivated to learn about specifics topics by investigating, thinking and discussing. Writting and discussion are valued.
