- The course unit of History of Law II follows the course unit of the 1st semester, which is dedicated to the study of Roman Law, to the family of which Portuguese Law belongs; - In this course unit we study the evolution of our legal system, from its peninsular antecedents to the founding of the Kingdom of Portugal and the various historical-legal moments in which our law can be systematized thereafter; - In this context, the importance of the sources of national law, the legal culture of each period, the political-institutional structure of our monarchy is emphasized. The program ends with a brief analysis of the advent of the so-called "Social Law" from the early twentieth century.

Understand the importance of the historical study of Portuguese Law. Understand the formation of this law through knowledge of its legal sources, understand the historical periods of Portuguese Law in order to understand its evolution to current law

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
- The method of master lessons is adopted, combined with the theoretical-practical method, through dialogued classes with a problematic-reflective sense. - The evaluation will, in principle, be continuous, in two written tests. This is without prejudice to the final assessment for those who wish to do so - Use of digital media in learning.

Em sede de avaliação contínua, os estudantes que compareçam a pelo menos 70% das aulas ministradas e que tenham realizado os dois momentos de avaliação, independentemente da classificação que obtiverem, estão admitidos à prova global a decorrer durante o mês de Janeiro, antes da época de Recurso.
Os estudamtes que não compareçam a pelo menos 70% das aulas ministradas reprovam, nos termos do artigo 3.º, al. a) do Regulamento de Avaliação da FDCP e, por isso, não são admitidos na prova global.
Todos os testes escritos são elementos de avaliação obrigatórios, sendo que a não comparência a um dos elementos de avaliação determina a reprovação do estudante, nos termos do artigo 3.º, al. b) do Regulamento de Avaliação da FDCP.
