The Pedagogy of Sport Curricular Unit (CU) is part of the 1st cycle in Physical Education and Sport. It aims to develop knowledge and work skills in the area of pedagogy of sports. It is intended that students understand the value of the pedagogical dimension of sport in the education and training of human beings in different contexts of practice. The knowledge of good practices in the field of sport pedagogy will be decisive for professional performance as future sports teachers and coaches, both in terms of planning and in terms of action. Throughout this CU it is also intended that students identify different models of education of health and moral values and the importance and to educate in and for equity, in order to acquire comprehensive pedagogical skills that can be applied in different professional contexts in the field of sport.

Objectives
1) Acquiring knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Sport Pedagogy; 2) Understanding the pedagogical significance of sport; 3) Identifying various models of inclusive and equitable education; 4) Developing skills for applying the teaching-learning process in a sportive context; 5) Acquiring tools for reflecting on and improving the teaching-learning process, and regularly reflecting on practical experiences.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Different innovative methodologies to support the teaching-learning process will be used: content development (information sessions); critical analysis of texts, selected videos and facts of everyday life (experiences by students and/or search in the media); pedagogical-didactic situations simulation; game-based activities; analysis and discussion of relevant issues (identified in groups); realization and presentation of thematic work (individual and group); project construction.
