    Objectives

    The objectives of the course unit provide students with the following: O1. Internalize citizenship as part of their development as individuals and future professionals. O2. Understand the dimensions of citizenship (both National and European) and their role as promoters of it. O3. Recognize the rights and duties of citizens under the country's law. O4. Comprehend that citizenship is based on legal instruments that must be communicated and worked on with populations, particularly those most distanced from knowledge and power. O5. Reimagine spaces for the construction and sharing of citizenship within the university, professional settings, and society.  
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

    Pedagogical practices include providing continuous feedback on the development of the topics under study for the preparation of assignments; using the 'flipped classroom' methodology for presentation sessions on the topics covered, and engaging with professionals and entities whose central theme is citizenship.

    Regime Especial de Avaliação

    Nos termos do Despacho Reitoral n.º 24/2023 (artigo 3.º), considera-se estudante com estatuto especial aquele que tenha apresentado prova da sua condição, a qual lhe confere direitos particulares relativamente à frequência de aulas ou à realização de provas. Esta situação deve estar devidamente registada no processo do estudante junto dos serviços administrativos, de acordo com as normas em vigor.

    Integram este estatuto os seguintes grupos:

    Trabalhadores-estudantes.
    Dirigentes associativos.
    Atletas de alta competição.
    Atletas em representação da instituição no desporto universitário.
    Atletas federados, nos termos da lei aplicável.
    Membros de forças de segurança.
    Militares.
    Estudantes com necessidades educativas especiais.
    Outros estudantes em situações previstas pela lei.
    De acordo com o mesmo despacho (artigo 6.º, ponto 3, alínea b), aplica-se, nestes casos, a utilização de elementos de avaliação distintos, desde que os mesmos permitam comprovar o sucesso do estudante na Unidade Curricular.
