    Objectives

    At the end of the curriculum unit, students should be able to: Understand the sociological concept of leisure; Conceptually relate leisure, recreation, and tourism; Comprehend the definitions and purpose of activity in animation and sociocultural animation; Apply animation principles in the planning and implementation of tourism products to achieve competitiveness and sustainability goals; Plan sports activities as part of a tourism product; Identify the characteristics of a good tourism animator in potential collaborators; Develop animation programs for hotels and resorts.
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

      Course Structure:   Expository Sections;   Theoretical-Practical Activities (thematic discussions, case studies, research activities, and quizzes).   Assessment:   A Research Paper;   A Practical Project;   An Exam.   The first assignment involves researching and presenting a seminar on a predefined topic.   The second assignment entails planning and executing an animation program or event. Groups must organize themselves so that each is responsible for a part of the organization and execution.   The exam is objective but requires a high degree of interpretation as well as the ability to apply practical content.   The first assignment accounts for 20% of the grade, while the final project and the exam each account for 40%
