Presentation
This curricular unit examines the role of transport systems as a key component of tourism activity, analysing how different modes of transport influence accessibility, competitiveness, sustainability and the development of tourism destinations. Through the analysis of real cases, emerging trends, sustainable mobility, accessible tourism and transport innovation, students develop the skills required to understand, evaluate and design tourism products and experiences associated with mobility. The course adopts active learning methodologies, including case studies, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), technical visits, collaborative work and the development of projects applied to the tourism sector.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The teaching methodologies combine theoretical instruction with activities centred on active student participation. Case studies, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), technical visits, trend analysis, collaborative activities and project-based learning are employed throughout the semester. Students are challenged to analyse transport systems and tourism destinations, identify mobility-related problems and develop evidence-based solutions. The project developed throughout the semester constitutes the main experiential learning component of the course. Interim presentations, classroom discussions and observation activities in real-world contexts foster critical thinking, autonomy, peer learning and communication skills.
