    Teaching methodologies

The unit takes a communicative approach (CLT) built around task-based language teaching (TBLT), starting from a brief needs analysis. Each module follows a task cycle: pre-task, authentic target task and language focus, with tasks such as preparing a CV and cover letter, performing a simulated job interview and debating crisis management. It integrates communication-centred practices (emergent language), mediation tasks (of text, concepts and communication) and online interaction (CEFR 2020), relevant to tourism service encounters and intercultural communicative competence.
