The curricular unit focuses on the description and critical analysis of organizational theories that directly contribute to strategic thinking applied to human resources management. The curricular unit also seeks to promote this thinking, based on its direct connection with practices and instruments to support the implementation of the strategy. In this way, the consolidation of strategic thinking is achieved through experimentation in its implementation.

Students will contact a number of organizations, where they will learn about their human resources management strategy. From this contact, students will be invited to prepare an individual essay on the connection between theoretical aspects of strategic human resources management and the reality of the chosen organization. Students will also be challenged to think critically about the alignment between strategy and the use of tools to support people management. It is expected to be possible to carry out at least one study visit.
