  • Objectives

    Objectives

    LO1 Describe the relationship between clinical evaluation, case formulation and psychological intervention. LO2 Identify the evaluation objectives and clinical intervention in psychological disorders, adaptation problems and promotion of quality of life. LO3 Select and apply evidence-based assessment and intervention protocols/programs for the developmental disorders most prevalent in childhood and adolescence. LO4 Ackowledge the existence of different neuropsychological assessment protocols, executive functions and cognitive abilities and understand the principles of intervention. LO5 Planning of the clinical intervention process of the child and the adolescent, according to the developmental characteristics, the specific objectives and settings. LO6 To select and to apply strategies and evaluation techniques and clinical intervention based on evidence for the psychological disorders, problems of adaptation and promotion of the quality of life.
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

    Different teaching methodologies (TM) will be used: expository moments (TM1), small group activities in the classroom (TM2), video visualizations (TM3), practical cases (TM4), role-play (TM5), and feedback from the teacher (TM6). The curricular unit operates in a continuous assessment mode, being required to be phisically presente in the classes. The final classification results from: a) oral participation in class (10%); b) a written test (40%); c) a presentation in class (25%); d) a written work (25%). Maintenance in continuous evaluation is subject to a classification of no less than 8 values in each of the elements. Students who fail will have access to the final written exam (100%).
