At the end of the Master's course in Clinical and Health Psychology at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa, students are expected to:
- Know the assumptions of intervention based on empirical evidence;
- Identify, critically select and use psychological assessment methods, techniques and instruments for different stages of development (children, adolescents, adults and the elderly);
- Know the main models and methods of psychotherapeutic intervention and health psychology
- Plan, implement and evaluate psychological assessment and intervention plans for different age groups;
- Diagnose common psychological problems and disorders at different stages of development according to a multidimensional model;
- Communicate clinical information with rigour;
- Have communication and relationship-building skills and know how to apply them to different intervention contexts.
- Develop teamwork skills;
- Plan and implement original empirical studies, interpreting, discussing and writing up their results and conclusions using scientific language;
- Make ethical decisions in their area of work in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Portuguese Psychologists' Association.
