Objectives
Understand the historical evolution of Comparative Education and its consolidation as a field of study within the Educational Sciences. Identify the main paradigms and methodological approaches used in comparative education studies. Recognize the role of major international agencies (OECD, UNESCO, IMF) in producing and disseminating statistical studies on national education systems. Develop the ability to critically analyze data and conclusions from major international studies on education. Compare different national education systems, identifying similarities, differences, and key factors influencing their development. Foster critical and well-founded thinking on the challenges of global education in the context of the internationalization of educational policies. Strengthen the ability to connect comparative studies with national and international educational realities.
