Presentation
Presentation
The primary objective of this course unit is to introduce and develop students' understanding of the main domains of health- and performance-related physical fitness. It also aims to explore a range of physical fitness assessment methods, enabling students to integrate theoretical and practical content in order to select assessment protocols appropriate to different cases.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Classes will be delivered in a theory-practice format, using experiential learning and the discussion of case studies. A blended-learning (b-learning) approach will be used via the Moodle platform, where supporting materials for each class (slides and reading materials) will be made available. Continuous assessment: To complete continuous assessment, students must sit one individual in-class test (60% of the final grade) and deliver a group presentation on one of the performance-related components of physical fitness (40% of the final grade). All assessment components must receive a mark of at least 9.5 (out of 20), and the final mark must also be at least 9.5 (out of 20). Assessment by final examination: Those who fail the continuous assessment may take an exam (to be scheduled after the end of classes) in July.
