The Ethics and Humanisation of Processes and Services curricular unit examines the ethical principles that guide the management and delivery of services within social economy organisations, promoting interventions centred on human dignity, human rights, and the quality of care and social service provision. Throughout the curricular unit, students will develop competencies to integrate ethical principles into decision-making, implement humanisation practices in organisational processes and service delivery, identify and prevent situations of neglect, abuse, and the inappropriate use of restrictive measures, while promoting person-centred care and interdisciplinary collaboration. This curricular unit contributes to the education of professionals capable of leading organisational processes with ethical responsibility, social commitment, and a strong focus on the continuous improvement of service quality.
