Although this is an optional course, it is important given the current situation. The aim is to look at left-wing and right-wing populist phenomena, both historically and in contemporary times, as well as to focus on and study the phenomenon of the sub-type of populism known as Religious Populism. It will also take into account the use of symbolism, discourse, imagery and deep feelings of a religious nature in the populace in order to pursue political objectives by populist political leaders.
