This course has the general learning objective of using the knowledge obtained in the course of Research Methods I and applying them in the development and written and oral presentation of a unique research project, ideally to be implemented in the 2nd year within of the elaboration of the dissertation.

Assessment
Assessment
A avaliação será realizada mediante as seguintes modalidades: Avaliação contínua: trabalho individual (25% da ponderação), projeto escrito (50% da ponderação), apresentação oral do projeto escrito (25% da ponderação). A presença nas aulas é obrigatória. A aprovação à UC é feita com mínimo de 10 valores. O exame final será constituído por um teste escrito com questões de desenvolvimento (100%).
Em conformidade com o previsto no Artigo 45.o, Capítulo IX do Regulamento Geral de Avaliação (DESPACHO REITORAL No 24/2023), a utilização de ferramentas de IA nesta unidade curricular está prevista apenas como recurso auxiliar à pesquisa sobre conceitos, modelos e definições teóricas gerais que possibilitem aos estudantes uma abordagem aos conteúdos programáticos e/ou o esclarecimento de dúvidas iniciais. A utilização destas ferramentas não substitui ou isenta a pesquisa bibliográfica em fontes científicas (e.g., artigos e manuais) com a devida revisão por pares, sua análise e respectiva citação, em conformidade com as normas em vigor. Isto significa que será considerado plágio e implicará a imediata anulação dos elementos da avaliação contínua, qualquer utilização de conteúdos gerados em IA sem a devida referenciação, tal como aconteceria com a transcrição integral de conteúdos publicados em fontes não referenciadas. Se considerado necessário, a critério da(o) docente, poderá ser solicitada uma prova oral e/ou escrita da referência dos conteúdos, no âmbito da prevenção e/ou deteção de fraudes.
