  • Objectives

    Objectives

Since this is a broad theme, it was opted to adopt a sectoral approach to the teaching content of this CU, centred on key issues. It has been prioritized to deepen knowledge on issues and fields such as economic revitalization (commercial urbanism), social (social and informal housing) and services ( provision of services and public social facilities).

In this form, it is hoped that students improve their abilities for formulating and programming integrated project and public policies, namely through knowing how policy programs function and are structured.

  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The preparation of a transversal work, common to most of the curricular units, which contains the particularities of each UC, is a practice that promotes a specific understanding of the subjects specific to each UC and knowledge of their relationships in the context of work in urban planning, preparing the student to solve complex problems. Seminar classes, where different lecturers address different topics in a coordinated manner, allow for a broader approach and the consolidation of more comprehensive knowledge in the fulfilment of the course programme.
