Partnerships: The course management is establishing partnerships with several companies (already in agreement with 6 companies) and leading research centers in the field of natural bioactives, covering applications such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices, and food supplements. This collaboration will provide students with the opportunity to conduct original research on these products and apply them in internships at relevant companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as the possibility of starting new startups in the sector. This course is based on the European master's project: BioNatural - Natural Products Chemistry for Bioactives Application (Erasmus Mundus Design Measures program - 101127246 - Chemistry of Natural Bioactives), with a consortium of 4 institutions (Lusófona University, Siena University, Ramon Llull University, and Namur University). https://bionatural.cbios.ulusofona.pt/ The Chemical Computing Group (CCG) is acknowledged for providing a free teaching license for the use of the Molecular Operating Environment software, MOE, ( www.chemcomp.com ) in the Molecular Modeling and Chemoinformatics classes of this course, along with the valid annual research license that we have in our research group (Natural Bioatives & Circular Economy) at CBIOS .
