ULusófona exhibits the work of the 1st year of the Master's Degree in Architecture, highlighting drawing as an instrument of architectural creation
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

The Integrated Master’s Degree in Architecture at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre will open, in 2025, the Architectural Drawing Exhibition 2024/25, under the coordination of Professor Filipa Oliveira Antunes. The exhibition brings together works by first-year students, highlighting drawing as an essential tool for thinking, representation, and design.
Rooted in the scientific field of Art and Representation Sciences, the exhibition reflects on drawing as the starting point for the act of designing, crossing the operative perspective, linked to expression, graphic mark, and imagination, with the operatory perspective, which demands geometric precision, clarity, and constructive resolution.
Between freehand sketching and technical drawing, the exhibited works explore the relationships between Object in Drawing, Drawing in the Object, and Object-Drawing, revealing the awareness of “making” and the associative and deductive capacity of the future architect.
Additionally, the project includes an international conference on Drawing and Design (September 2025), an academic publication, and the exhibition “Roteiro Arquitetura e Urbanismo, Diário Gráfico de Viagem.”
Inspired by authors such as Fernando Poeiras, Rudolf Arnheim, Paul Valéry, and Eduardo Chillida, this initiative reinforces the role of drawing whether analogue, digital, or AI-assisted in architectural education and culture.
