Civil Engineering Conference 2025: A Successful 1st Edition at ULusófona

The 1st Edition of the Civil Engineering Conference, held on 11 February 2025 at Lusófona University, was a great success. The event featured renowned experts, leading companies, and students, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and discussions on key innovations and challenges in the sector.

In the morning, at the Professor José Araújo Auditorium, presentations by experts and representatives of leading companies in the sector highlighted current trends and the challenges faced by Civil Engineering. The discussions enriched participants' understanding of the need for innovation and the evolution of the job market in the field.

In the afternoon, it was the students' turn to present their academic work and take part in the Structural Competition, which encouraged creativity and the development of innovative solutions for the sector's challenges. The competition provided a unique opportunity for students to actively engage and apply the knowledge they had acquired.

Additionally, on 6 February, a practical session dedicated to structural modelling was held, exclusively for undergraduate and master's students in Civil Engineering at Lusófona University. This session aimed to enhance students' technical skills and promote closer contact with industry practices.

The event was free and open to the public, bringing together a wide range of participants, from students to industry professionals. The Civil Engineering Conference at Lusófona University proved to be an excellent opportunity for knowledge updates, networking, and strengthening the connection between academia and the job market.
