Erasmus Student Network and Eurail launch the Erasmus+ Interrail Pass
New pass offers international students better access to friendly and flexible transportation
26.04.24 - 12h07The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and Eurail have announced an innovative partnership to make it easier for Erasmus+ Program participants to access green transport options. This initiative is aligned with the latest Erasmus+ Guide 2024 guidelines. The partnership resulted in the launch of the Interrail Global Pass for Erasmus+, a pass developed especially to meet the needs of international students.
The Interrail Global Pass for Erasmus+ offers two options adapted to students' needs:
- Use of 4 days over 6 months: Ideal for students who wish to travel directly between the mobility destination and their origin.
- Use of 6 days during 6 months: An option for students who wish to make an additional stop elsewhere between the origin and destination of their mobility.
Both versions of the pass are available to young people (under 28 years old) and adults, offering the choice between 1st and 2nd class travel. Young students receive a 25% discount compared to the adult version.
An inclusive feature of this pass is that it is open to all Erasmus+ Program participants, regardless of the type of mobility they undertake.
This new partnership between ESN and Eurail also brings direct benefits to students in the Erasmus+ Program at Universidade Lusófona, providing them with greater flexibility and convenience when exploring different destinations during their mobility period. The Interrail Global Pass offers a practical and affordable transport solution, allowing students to make the most of their international experience, discover new cultures and promote their personal and academic growth.
ESN and Eurail will host a webinar on May 6th from 1pm to 2:30pm to provide more information about the Interrail Global Pass for Erasmus+.
