Exhibition highlights project from ULusófona Master’s in Visual Arts Education

Solar dos Zagallos, in Almada, is hosting three exhibitions that bring together contemporary artistic practices and educational projects, with a highlight on the participation of Lusófona University through the Master’s in Visual Arts Education in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, integrated within the Faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Administration (FCSEA).

Until 18 July, the exhibition programme brings together different approaches to artistic creation, highlighting the relationship between research, pedagogical practice, and contemporary visual production.

Within the educational scope, the exhibition “From Place to Art | Heritage, Memory and Creativity in Visual Education” stands out. It is the result of a collaborative project between Lusófona University’s Master’s in Visual Arts Education and 9th-year students from the Elias Garcia School Grouping. The project reflects a pedagogical approach centred on the connection between heritage, territory, and creative processes in Visual Education, valuing teaching methodologies that promote artistic experimentation and the construction of meaning by students.

The initiative highlights the role of higher education in arts education in promoting innovative educational practices, strengthening the link between the university and school contexts.

Solar dos Zagallos is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, with free admission.
