Great Artists on Campus: Nuno Artur Silva
Portuguese author and producer shared experiences and reflections on contemporary humour

On 31 March 2025, Cinema Fernando Lopes at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário Lisboa hosted the event Great Artists on Campus | Skynet: Humour in the Time of Cholera, which featured the renowned author and producer Nuno Artur Silva.
The session began at 18h00 with a talk by the guest speaker, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The event offered an in-depth reflection on Nuno Artur Silva’s professional journey, as well as on the role of humour in the media and contemporary society.
With free entry, the initiative reinforced Universidade Lusófona’s commitment to promoting culture, freedom of thought, and academic debate.
Born in Lisbon in 1962, Nuno Artur Silva is a prominent figure in Portuguese comedic creation. He is the founder of projects such as Produções Fictícias, Canal Q, and the satirical newspaper O Inimigo Público. He has also served as a board member at RTP and, more recently, as Secretary of State for Cinema, Audiovisual and Media in the 22nd Constitutional Government.
