    The Degree in Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communication from Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon is today the reference course in this area of training in Portugal. The national and international recognition of our course, well evident in its accreditation and funding by CILECT/GEECT, by the EU's MEDIA/CREATIVE EUROPE program and by the ICA - Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, is just part of this visibility, which is manifested above all in the dozens of awards and in the national and international mobility of our students' projects. With a trajectory of over 20 years in training students in the audiovisual and multimedia fields, today there are hundreds of our alumni working in the national and international market in these areas, contributing to the affirmation of the quality of our teaching and training.

    This study cycle accepts candidates who submit their application via the institutional entry admission and have obtained a positive score on one of the following national exams:

    Candidates may also apply via the regimes of institution/programme transfer or via Special Application, in accordance with the legal regulations in force (holders of higher education degree, holders of a Technological Specialization Course, holders of Professional Higher Technician Course or Over 23 years of Age).     The licentiate degree in Film, Video and Multimedia Communication aims to train professionals in the areas of production and direction within the film and television industries, as well as the production and direction of multimedia on a conceptual and more experimental level, in addition to providing them with the basic generic skills in the areas of communication sciences, arts and design and information systems, computing and multimedia communication.

    This degree aims to transmit the skills that will enable the graduate students to this carry out the following functions: Area of specialization in the production and direction of films : Development and writing of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Professional practice in the context of the directing and assistant director of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Production, Executive production and assistant production of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Direction of photography, lighting and image assistance; Camera operations in film and video technology; Image control and vt operations; Notes of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Audio Post-production, sound recording and sound design; Post production and visual composition of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Analog and digital photography; Promotion and distribution of audiovisual and multimedia products. Area of expertise in Multimedia production and direction: Management and design of multimedia projects; Development and writing of projects; Consultancy on multimedia projects and information systems; Design of applications, interfaces, and information for multimedia platforms (web, offline, mobile); Production and direction of animation projects; Modelling and 2D and 3D animation; Programming in multimedia environments; Analysis of systems and multimedia projects; Post-production and visual composition of films, television and video fictional, documentary, institutional and advertising projects; Analog and digital photography; Graphic design, typesetting and production of infographics.

    Future Studies

    The licentiate degree in Film, Video and Multimedia Communication paves the way for training in the second cycle, in the Masters programme in Communication Systems, Multimedia and Film Studies.
