The DAU 2026 took 115 students on a journey to explore Vienna’s urban landscape, enriching their academic knowledge in architecture and urbanism
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The organisation of the DAU Itineraries Vienna 2026 extended the activity to a vast group of 115 participants, among professors and students from the three study cycles of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre. The destination was Vienna, where the group had the opportunity to visit and draw the city and several buildings of architectural reference.
The programme was previously defined within the scope of the scientific project - DEAR - Drawing, Teaching, Architecture, coordinated by Professor Filipa Oliveira Antunes, an integrated researcher at CICANT, with the support of the architecture professors.
International visits continue to be particularly important in the education of architecture students, and in the updating of the pedagogical practices of the teaching staff.
The programme included the promotion of international partnerships, in this case with the Vienna University of Technology, which hosted the group at its premises with a lecture and academic sharing.
The individual and collective experience was unique. A detailed report will shortly be published on the production of the drawings and the contents gathered during the journey as a transformative process - Reading, Travelling and Drawing.
