The Faculty of Law and Political Science (FDCP) at Lusófona University - Porto University Centre hosted a session to present the Inova Lex programme of activities for the 2026/27 academic year. The meeting, aimed at the faculty's academic community, provided an overview of the planned initiatives and introduced the project team, made up of lecturers Ana Gonçalves, Ana Gouveia, Bárbara Barreiros, Inês Dias, João Tavares and Mário Lourenço.
The session was also attended by the Director of the FDCP, José de Faria Costa, who addressed the audience.
During the event, the main activities planned for the current academic year were outlined. These include attending court hearings and trials at the Vila Nova de Gaia Judicial Court, study visits to the Porto Court of Appeal and the Museum of Conflict, as well as workshops focused on preparing for assessments, discussion forums and debates on relevant current affairs topics.
In an interview, the lecturer responsible for the programme, Bárbara Barreiros, discussed its main objectives, highlighting that the proposed innovation lies in the application of practical methodologies, critical reflection and the adoption of new teaching approaches, without compromising the academic rigour and tradition of the degree programmes involved.
Inova Lex will also continue to run its mentoring and tutoring programme, through which third- and fourth-year students support first- and second-year students with time management and study methods, under the guidance of the teaching staff.
The presentation thus marked the beginning of another academic year for Inova Lex, reinforcing the faculty's commitment to enriching the education of future professionals through practical experiences, academic support and opportunities for sharing knowledge.
