Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has recently announced the results of its 2025 Call for R&D Projects in All Scientific Domains. Researchers from several of Lusófona University's Research and Development Units (R&D Units) stood out, with a significant number of projects approved for funding.
Research and innovation are two central pillars of Lusófona University's strategy for consolidation and for strengthening its scientific and technological potential. The FCT's approval of 12 Exploratory Projects (PeX) and 6 Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects (IC&DT) confirms Lusófona University's growing impact on the National Science and Technology System (SCTN).
These projects represent approval rates of 25% for PeX and 15% for IC&DT, both above the overall success rates for the call, which stood at 22% and 11%, respectively, in a particularly competitive funding round. These results demonstrate the University's growing capacity to secure competitive funding and further strengthen national recognition of the quality of the research carried out at Lusófona University.
