Lusófona University signs a declaration in support of the European Alliances
The statement brings together 261 institutions from 30 countries and reinforces the role of European University Alliances in shaping Europe's future

Lusófona University is one of 261 institutions from 30 European countries that have co-signed the joint statement “For an explicit recognition of European University Alliances as pillars of Europe's competitiveness, sovereignty and skills”.
The statement calls on the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to acknowledge the role of the Alliances in the 2028-2034 Multiannual Financial Framework and in the European Competitiveness Fund.
The initiative highlights the contribution of European universities to the development of the European Education Area, the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area, as well as to promoting innovation, the circulation of knowledge and skills development across Europe.
Lusófona University is included in the list of signatory institutions as a member of the FilmEU – European Universities Alliance for Film and Media Arts.
