Expansion and Modernisation Works at the Lisbon University Campus
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
With the start of the expansion and modernisation works at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre, parking restrictions and access constraints within the campus are expected throughout the 2026/2027 academic year.
This project is part of the Campus 2030 vision, which envisages the transformation and modernisation of the Lisbon University Campus, creating new spaces and facilities to meet the growth and needs of the academic community.

During this period, parking availability may be significantly reduced and may change depending on the progress of the works. The University therefore recommends that the academic community plan their journeys in advance and, whenever possible, prioritise the use of public transport.
Parking alternatives
As an alternative to parking within the campus, several car parks located nearby may be considered, namely:
- EMEL – Campo Grande Car Park, located opposite McDonald’s;
- Alvaláxia Car Park, next to José Alvalade Stadium.
Access by public transport
Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre benefits from a location with good access to the public transport network.
The Campo Grande Station is within a short distance of the campus, providing quick access to the University.
Several bus routes have stops near the University, namely 701, 706, 735, 738, 750 and 767.
Plan your journey in advance
During the works, the University recommends that students plan their journeys in advance, taking into account the possibility of increased demand and reduced parking availability on campus.
