Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre hosted another edition of the Great Artists on Campus/Multiplex programme between 13 and 15 May, dedicated to choreographer and filmmaker Meg Stuart, one of the most acclaimed figures in contemporary international dance.
The programme took place in Lisbon and Porto, bringing together students, lecturers, researchers, artists, and the general public for screenings, talks, and opportunities for dialogue with the guest artist.
In Lisbon, the programme included a screening of Meg Stuart: The Films, a lecture followed by a Q&A session, and a conversation with the artist accompanied by a screening of Sulphur Edges. The programme continued in Porto with initiatives in a similar format.
Renowned for her interdisciplinary artistic practice, Meg Stuart shared her perspective on the body, improvisation, memory, and creative processes, encouraging critical reflection and direct engagement between the academic community and an international reference in the performing arts.
