Professor Onésimo Teotónio Almeida honoured for Cultural Citizenship
The Professor received the Vasco Graça Moura Award in recognition of his significant contribution to the consolidation of the Portuguese language

Professor Onésimo Teotónio Almeida, a member of our Strategic Council, was honoured with the Vasco Graça Moura Award – Cultural Citizenship for his contribution to “the affirmation of the culture of the Portuguese language worldwide”.
The award jury, chaired by Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins, justified the selection of Onésimo Teotónio Almeida “by virtue of his persistent work as a distinguished professor and researcher, with proven merit in the fields of the study and consolidation of the Portuguese language, literature and culture”.
Professor Onésimo is also an Honorary Doctorate holder from our institution. Lusófona University extends its congratulations and joins in this recognition.
