Lusófona University (COFAC - Cooperativa de Formação e Animação Cultural, C.R.L.) was recently integrated into two of the newly approved and officially recognised clusters, namely the Cluster of Cultural and Creative Industries (CICC) and the ITD Cluster Portugal - Sports Industries and Technologies. The decision was formalised through Order No. 2784/2025, issued by the Secretary of State for Economy and published on 28 February 2025.
The recognition diploma for four new clusters highlights that this initiative aims to stimulate the mobilisation of economic agents towards a collaborative sharing of knowledge. The objective is to promote collective efficiency in areas such as research and development, innovation, capacity building, internationalisation, and resource sustainability, granting the national economy an increasingly global character.
According to the order, the Competitiveness Clusters play a crucial role in the national economy and competitiveness, particularly in the context of the transition to climate neutrality and digital leadership.
Lusófona University joins a prestigious group of entities that make up the governing and management bodies of the Cluster of Cultural and Creative Industries (CICC) and the ITD Cluster Portugal - Sports Industries and Technologies.
