ULusófona Students Evaluate Water in Sancha and Santo André Lagoons
Practical activity involves using multi-parameter probes and taking samples for microbiological analysis, bringing theory and practice together
08.03.23 - 15h23

As part of the project course, students from Lusófona University took part in a technical outing to the Sancha and Santo André lagoons, where they had the opportunity to apply the knowledge they had learnt in the classroom. The activity included the use of multi-parameter probes to measure the physical-chemical parameters of the water and the collection of samples to analyse microbiological indicators.
These field trips are essential for students to better understand the theoretical content related to water quality management and consumption. As well as reinforcing learning, these activities bring moments of adventure and sharing between teachers, students and, this time, with the participation of student members of the university's Eco-Council.
The topics covered included water consumption management and water and sediment quality, providing an enriching learning experience in a real-world context.
