University Lusófona and IPLUSO Lecturer at Congress on Ageing
Paulo Sargento participated in the 1st Caregivers and Longevity Congress and joined the Movement for Conscious Ageing

Prof. Dr. Paulo Sargento, lecturer at the IPLUSO School of Law and associate researcher at CEAD, took part as a speaker in the 1st National Congress “Care, Formal Caregivers and Longevity”, an event held online on December 3, 4 and 5. His presentation reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary debate on ageing, care, and the qualification of professionals in the sector.
Organised under the leadership of Dr. Cláudia Moura and guided by the motto “Building Practices that Uphold Dignity Requires the Right Profile”, the congress brought together 25 speakers from various fields, promoting a broad and cross-cutting dialogue on the challenges of longevity in Portuguese society.
The participation of Prof. Dr. Paulo Sargento culminated in his inclusion as a member of the Movement for Conscious Ageing (MEC), reinforcing his commitment to promoting care practices that dignify and value all stages of life.
