ULusófona students share how animals help reduce stress, combat loneliness and bring balance to academic life during challenging times
04.10.26 - 13h00World Animal Day
On this day of celebration, we turn our attention to the animal kingdom and the profound bond we share with all species.
Within the academic environment, this date takes on a special meaning: animals are not merely beings that coexist with us, but true pillars of emotional support, playing a crucial role in reducing stress levels and combating the loneliness that can sometimes accompany the demanding university journey.
But does the presence of the animal world influence us more than we realise? We set out to find the answer by asking members of the academic community and inviting Lusófona University students to share what their connection with animals brings to their lives.
Today, we pay tribute to them all – those who, without saying a single word, inspire us to become the best version of ourselves, both inside and outside the classroom.
