Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Professional Athlete Day
On 10 February, Professional Athlete Day is marked, celebrating and recognising the work, dedication and commitment of professional athletes.
In this context, we invited Lara Filipe, a student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Communication at Lusófona University - Porto University Centre, to record a video in which she shares five tips for balancing studies with high-performance sport.
Based on her experience as a student-athlete, Lara Filipe highlights the importance of time management, rest and academic and personal support, reinforcing that it is possible to balance the demands of study with the practice of high-performance sport.
The five shared tips aim to inspire other students to find strategies that promote academic success without giving up sporting performance.
